Pinewood Derby Race • March 9th • 1pm • Location NN

  • be creative ... have fun to build your very own car !! 
  • The WEIGH IN on Saturday is not a requirement but is meant to help speed things along on race day. Coming to Saturday's weigh in gives your Scout a look at what he may need to change on his car to get it right at the 5 oz. weight limit. If he weighs in and his car is finished and it's right at 5 oz., you can check the car in for us to keep overnight and save the wait in line on Sunday!
  • snacks will be sold 
  • build your own car and have fun at the race !!
  • wear your Uniform Class A or Class B

 

Blue & Gold Banquet • Feb 15 • 6.30pm • Friday
  • at the dining hall at the Jamestown 4-H center
  • Starts at 6:30, Theme is "The Blue and the Gray" (Civil War). We will have John Quarstein as our guest speaker along with a parent and scout in uniform
  • Den 3 & 9 - Set up - Main Course/Drinks 
  • Den 1 & 6 - Desserts (Erin will get the cake) 
  • Den 2, 4, 8 - Sides 
  • Den 5 & 7 - Sides
  • Each Den is also asked to make table decorations to make the dining hall look as festive as possible.

  • Registration will be at 5:30 to 6:30 
  • activities up to 9:30pm ... Snack ...  IMAX movie ... bed (or floor!)
  • Sunday: wake up, explore, Science theater, and Planetarium show; Departure around 10:30
  • Cost will be $36 per child and $32 per adult.

Cubmaster note: 
  • All Scouts should be in full Class A, as neat as they can make it.

  • Morningside retirement home on McLaws Circle, Williamsburg (in the Busch Corporate Center)

  • We'll start singing at 1pm, 
    please arrive no later than 12.45pm

 

  • Please remind your Scouts of something NO RUNNING in the halls of the rest home.

  • We will celebrate and thank for our year together in Pack 103. 
  • Be ready to practice some christmas carols 
  • CLASS A uniform

  • All scouts please bring food to donate to FISH

  • FISH suggests the boys pick out the item, either their favorite soup, cereal, snack item, etc.  Maybe even they could pay for it out of their allowance?

  • We will collect the items and set up a time to deliver the items – maybe get some publicity for the boys.

March in Christmas Parade
  • Uniform A
  • 8.20-8.30am meet at front of St. Bede's Church, Richmond Road
  • Parade starts by 9am from Duke of Glouster Street 
  • We'll end with patches and hot chocolate in the field next to the William and Mary Hall parking lot! 
  • ... be prepared for the cold weather !!!

Twin Pin Bowl • November 4, Sun • Naval Weapon Station • 2pm - 4pm 
We would need a headcount from dens as to how many Scouts and siblings are coming, as the space is tighter than the lanes at Williamsburg Bowl.

 
  • There is no admission fee to Scouts
  • no outside food is allowed
  • Pack 103 will order some pizzas and drinks ahead of time
  • Scouts should bring 1$ to cover the food
  • Everyone should were clean tennis shoes to bowl in
  • we will split our Pack in two shifts for playing:
    2pm to 3 pm - Web I, Bears & Tigers
    3pm to 4 pm – Web II, Wolves

Pack Camping Trip • Chickahominy State Park •  Oct 13/14
 
  • bring your tent and sleeping bag if you have them, but Pack 103 can provide tents to families to need them
  • Uniform A and Uniform B
  • 5$ per person attend camp
  • warm jacket, socks, etc.
  • make ready for campfire with songs, skits and marshmallows
  • flashlight with new batteries
  • we provide dinner and breakfast

  • This is a great way for us to make money fast
  • boys who participate in FULL CLASS A UNIFORM will get a share of the sales based on a boy-hour rate that we'll figure each day after we total the sales for that day.
  •  It's a great way for a Scout to jump-start his sales total!

From Williamsburg

From Rt. 199 In Williamsburg, follow Virginia State Route 5 west across the bridge to Charles City County. Go approximately 4 miles , then left at Wilcox Neck Road (Rt. 623). Willcox Neck changes into Sandy Point after about 2 miles and then you go for another 2 miles on Sandy Point. Stay on that road, until you see the sign for Renwood Fields Farm on your right.
